Well, I have to say I'm a little disapointed in myself. As a photographer, I really hate it when I just cannot capture with my camera the same feeling or beauty that I see with my eyes. From all the shots from yesterday this is the best, and it just doesn't compare to what I saw or what I know I'm capable of.
And here's one of Max that I like.

Summer Plums

It's been awhile since I've set up a studio on the front porch, but I just couldn't let these plums not be photographed.

A walk through the park...

Well, I finally took some time to try out my new lens. Max and I spent Sunday afternoon walking around the Sandhills garden at the community college. I'm glad we did.

My lovely mother

I processed this roll of film a couple of weeks ago, and had completely forgotten about this trip to the beach. I'm thinking it was October, and it was still surprisingly warm. I really like this photo of my mom, although she will probably hate it because her hair is messed up by the wind and her eyes are closed, but look at that amazing smile. This is who she is. Carefree, beautiful, sweet and always fun to be around. She is the can, will, and did person, while others just hope to get past can. I love you mom.

I worked at the fair one weekend slinging corn with my friend Mindy, and this was taken on one of the slow nights because it was pooring rain.


I shot this about 4 years ago when I was still living in Seward, Alaska.

It's a small world

I was recently at the Malcolm Blue Farm taking pictures for a friend and I met this guy. He went to the same photography school as me but about 30 years ago. Now he runs a Civil War reenactment camp where he and his friends enjoy sleeping in the woods and firing canons.
